A letter from an Artillery FDO

This is a response to a post that I placed on the Veterans Chatline board.

Mr. McKechan:
I'm not a veteran of C/1-321, but rather the current FDO of 1st Platoon, C/1-321 ( now organized as a XVII Corps Artillery asset). It's good to know that veterans of the Warrior battalion still take pride in their association with the unit. The pride that you Warrior veterans exhibit is very evident to us in the battalion today, and that strong bond that you guys rally around makes us fell grateful to be a part or such an honored organizatation. If you haven't visited the current battalion area lately, I welcome you to swing by Ardennes Street at Fort Bragg. 1LT Andy Smith (2/C XO) has completed a pictorial history in the Regimental room. It dates from the great war to the present and includes a guidon of C battery from the vietnam era. The small section or bare wall in the room provides a constant reminder to the current troopers that their place on the historic wall is yet to be filled and provides motivation for them to reach the standard that all the Warriors of old have established and maintained throughout it's long and glorious history. If you have any questions, comments, or advice for a young paratrooper, please feel free to contact me at the following adderess: ( I have left out the adderess for reason of privacy )

Respeclfully, 2LT Scott Howell
