Bunker-rama!

We now have a real concrete bunker at the Rensselaer, IN battle site. We loosely based it off of many of the smaller defense bunkers on the Atlantic Wall, but also seen all over the Eastern front. It's not quite done yet inside, but here's the major features:

Rensbunker_01.jpg (67991 bytes)
Bunker from the SE corner,
prior to filling in around the sides
Rensbunker_port.jpg (20205 bytes)
One of 2 visor ports
Rensbunker_doorext.jpg (34741 bytes)
Entrance, with firing port for defense
Rensbunker_beam.jpg (29351 bytes)
Inside, with our model,
Mike Nimmons of 2.Panzer

Stahlhelms off to the area members of 2.Panzer for some of the preparetory work, and most of all, Dr. Neal Haskell (site owner) for accomodationg such an undertaking! We hope that many of you will be able to come out and play to see it and many of the other cool things we have going on up there....
