Inspections were a challenge at first with as many as 30 demerit slips lost by a single cadet alone, but by the end of the week inspections were proudly passed with only 5 demerits lost by the whole squadron.
Physical Training physically and mentally challenged the cadets during the one hour (6:00am-7:00am) period experienced each day. Physically, the cadets experienced a lot of running, sprinting, flutter kicks, mountain climbers, sit-ups, pushups, team races, and obstacle courses. Mentally, the cadets were challenged with one question, "Can I do this?" With the Marines yelling and making the cadets train hard, this question came up a lot. Drilling started out rough, but dramatically improved by the end of the week. Cadets learned that teamwork was needed to successfully complete the drills. Ropes were a new experience to most cadets, as they learned how to tie swiss seats. The cadets repelled from 40 feet above the ground using the swiss seats that were tied by themselves. A rope bridge was made and crossed successfully as a result of teamwork and cooperation.
Model Rockets were built and flown near the end of the week.
After a long week of camp, 27 proud cadets deserved graduation. The ceremony was viewed by parents and friends of the cadets as they marched up and received there SO and T-shirt, which was green, with the logo "I survived leadership camp" written on the back. After the graduation everyone gathered and watched a video of themselves throughout the week.
