It has been 6 wonderful years since Gretchen came into my life. Gretchen, at 8 years of age, is competing in agility and has reached the Excellent A level in both Standard and Jumps with Weaves. Gretchen is also in training to go on with her Obedience in Open and hopefully on to Utility.
Gretchen has qualified to be certified with the Delta Society and Therapy Dog International as a therapy dog. I have decided to pursue the certification for her through Therapy Dog International, as she must be observed while making visitations to different facilities prior to finalizing certification. I like the idea of having some practical experience before the certification is completed.
Gretchen is a wonderful companion, ambassador for Giant Schnauzers and what can be accomplished with a rescued dog when given a chance to succeed.
