Creation Myth
I came across the Creation Myth of the Lenape Indians. The story tells, that the earth is resting on the back of a giant turtle lying in the water. From the soil on this turtle's back there once grew a tree that sent forth a sprout from which the first man came. Then, bending over, the top of the tree touched the ground & sent forth another sprout from which  the first woman emerged. These were the original parents from whom all Lenape Indians descended.

The Wolf
"To see the world through wolf eyes is not so great a leap as it may seem. Our species have much in common. We are intelligent, adaptable animals who work & play with a passion; we form complex & enduring social bonds; we share a sometimes fragile environment; we love to sing."~Asta Bowen, Hungry for Home

"A long time ago, the howl became a word, a name. Wa'ya to the Cherokee, to whom the mountains also listened in the old time. Son of the wind; companion to Kana'ti' father of Ani'Wa'ya, the Wolf people, principal clan. Familiar spirit to hunters. Perfect walker. Far traveler. Revenge taker & altruist. Unseen shape between the trees. Sky shadow from the long past. Rufous flicker in the mind of god."~Christopher Camuto, Another Country

As a pup I was abused very badly. If not for my Mother adopting me I would have died a horrid death. She made me strong & as healthy as was possible. For this I was said to have the heart of a wolf. Thru my Mom I was give a love for the Native Americans as well.
