Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi
    JacobFreibergi was named after Jacob Freiberg in 1974. The JacobFreibergi has been sold under alot of different names in the trade, and is the most distribution of all the Peacocks in the trade.

       They are well known as Trematocrans or Malawi Butterfly Peacock. These Peacocks are normaly found in caves which they are concidered as cave dwelling peacocks. They were first exported in 1985 from Otter Point and were called Trematocranus Trevori. There are different variants of colors.  The north part of the lake there yellow based colorations and the southern part of the lake are more orange-blue.

      The Females all look the same has the overall color patern as all females peacocks. They can grow  up to 7 inches and attain sexual maturity at about 3.5 inches. I will be updating this section very soon.
