Clown Loach's & other Loach's
The Loach's are the best bottom feeder's I ever had, they eat about anything you put in the tank from zucchini, cucomber, spinch, lettuce, chicken, shrimp, flakes, pellets, almost anything,  you can name it they will eat it.. I have four different types in my tanks, I have the famouse Clown Loach, I raised 8 from 1 inch and now I have four left there 4 inches. I have the skunk loache or also called the Egyptian loach, and the zipper loach. And a Cross-banded Loach., I am looking for the right  info on all them. Loaches are very tough I have found them laying out on the floor almost dried and was able to put them back in the tank and they still lived. I just got to be carefull when I take my rocks out and make sure none of them are hiding in any crevaces.

  Clown Loach or Tiger Botia

      Botia Macracantha:
Inhabits: Sumatra and South-Eastern Borneo, where it lives in flowing and stagnant waters.
Lenght: It will grow to about 30cm (12" inches)  long but in captivity it's hardly seen longer than 15cm(6"inches) long.
Sexing: The male is smaller and slimmer than the females and has a deeper and more pronounce colors.
They like to be in groups never buy only one always get two or more, four is a great group to have, if you ever find your clown laying on there sides looking dead, they are alive, I don't no why they do this but I always find them laying on there sides acting if they were dead. Over planted tank and soft sandy bottom and crystal clear water, even a rock formation tanks is good.
