How to caculate pond liner size:
Length of pond +(2 x maxium depth) =
length of liner
Width of pond + (2 x maxium depth) =
Width of liner
EXAMPLE: Pond Size is 18 x 24 x 3
18 ' length , 24' width, 3' deep
the liner size needed for this pond
Depth
Length 18+( 2x3=6) = 24
Width 24+( 2x3=6) = 30
Total liner size would be 25'x 30'
This is for a rectangular pond only bogs, waterfalls and streams would call for additional liner. This example was given to help enable you to caculate your own pond liner size.

Length x Average width x Average Depth = Cubic Feet
Cubic Feet x 7.5= Pond Gallons Example: 24 x 18 x 3 x 7.5 = 9,720 gallons
For Circular Pond
3.14 x (1/2 Diameter x 1/2 Diameter) x Depth = Cubic Feet
Cubic Feet x 7.5= Pond Gallons Example for 24' round 3' deep:
3.14 x ( 12x12 ) x 3 x 7.5 = 10,173.6 gallons
