I thought that I would tell about guinea pigs in Denmark.
Normally a guinea pig who is found in the garbage would just be "put to sleep". But a few years ago 2 women decided that it should not be like that. They started to take in homeless guinea pigs, the males got neutred, and they where all being checked out by a veterinarian. Then they started to find new homes for them, and until now they have been able to find homes for every guinea pig they have taken in.
