The Dogs We've Loved
Champ: 1993-1999 (hit and run)

i remember when mom brought champ home
he was a small pup but he grew into a very valuable dog

Responsible:

Head of Mice Population Control & Backyard Squirrle Excercise
in his youth!

Thoughtful:

keeping the couch warm for us all whenever we left the house!
Helpful:
making sure mom got enough sleep during the day
by joining her on the bed!
Patient:

sharing the house with numerous kitties,
rodents, a geriatric bird,
visiting dogs and people ...
greeting everyone with a few friendly barks and lotsa tail wagging at the door!
Oxford: 1992-1998 (unknown)

Oxford was Brian's twin's pug.
he was always smelly, snoring, and up for a good scratch
still he managed to find a soft place in our hearts.
He and Elway lived 6 years together
what caused his death is still uncertain
but the little pug reminded us how precious life can be.
snookie: 1989-1996. (euthanized)

i think i will always feel bad
that i didn't do more for this little dog.
i made a lot of mistakes and
neglected doing some important things for her.
but i did love her very much
and i know i will never make the same mistakes again.
i hope she would forgive me,
as dogs are better at that than we are.
and i know her next life is filled with happiness.

Cubby:. 1986-1992 (euthanized)

my early memories of cubby bear
mostly involve barking and bolting out the door!
but as he matured he was a good boy.
he developed epilepsy
and despite much love, medication, and patience
mom finally had him put down for his own good.

A Bridge Called Love

It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.

And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us

It's the bridge that we call love.
