Dr. George A. Hannah DDS
May 5, 1925 - Aug 12, 1999

A great horseman has passed away, Dr.George Hannah of Blacklick, Ohio. A
longtime Arabian horse breeder, he operated Hannah Farms for almost 50
years, and over 30 of those years he filled his life with beautiful
Arabians. Dr.Hannah was also a certified Arabian and Morgan Horse judge,
and travelled all over the country judging horses who later on went on to
be legendary breed icons. He was a past president of the Ohio Arabian
Horse Association, and one of the original group of six who syndicated the
Arabian racing sire, Samtyre. A breeder of well over 200 foals, Dr.Hannah
has owned many champions including Lewisfield Nizzor+ (2 time US Top 10
Western Pleasure), Geym of Thoraff (a mult champion and champion sire), and
GH Elegant Lady (Region 14 Champion Western Pleasure and dam of champions) to
name just a few.
I feel priveledged to have known him, and honored to call him my mentor.
I will be eternally grateful for all he taught me, and will never forget
him. He is sorely missed by friends and family, and his final resting place
is in his family cemetary in Kentucky.
