At the corner of Georgia Avenue and Aspen Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD
An event of the Montgomery County Volunteer Service Day. Join hundreds of volunteers painting, mowing, planting, weeding, digging, and doing lots of fix-up jobs at the CWS Aspin Hill site. All participants will receive giveaways from Nickelodeon & local merchants. Free refreshments. Great family event and volunteers hours qualify for community service hours for students - certificates are provided to participants.

"WALK FOR WILDLIFE" - Wheaton, Maryland - 10:00 am until 2:00 pm
Start at the parking lot of the Wheaton Regional Park anytime between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. The theme of the "Walk for Wildlife" is Saving Oiled Wildlife. Walkers each become oiled wildlife patients and learn how they are rescued, rehabilitated and released along the route.
