ABOUT ME!!!!!! (Jade that is)
Name: Jade Birthdate: 06/14/98 Came home: 08/09/98 Breed: Doberman Sex: Male Colors: black+rust (in my opinion) Weight at: 2 months: 11.5 lbs
Height currently: (7 months) 27 inches (at the shoulder) Medical proceedures: Neutered, shots, dewormed (many times-he has a bad habit of visiting the horse field), *Gastritis examination, *blood collection, *complete blood count, *radiography, *penicillin injection, *put on metronidazole tablets, *given canine drontal plus. * Jade swallowed a plastic bag and was not able to pass any food for a couple days. He vomitted when he did try to eat. Thankfully nothing big came of it besides an infection, and he ended up passing the bag in the examining room (ironically before all the tests). Favorite games: frisbee, find it, make-mom-chase-me-around-the-house-because-I-have-something-in-my-mouth-I'm-not-suppose-to-have Favorite toys: POPPLES!!!!, anything that squeaks or makes noise, pig ears, rawhides Favorite snacks: carrots, home made doggy peanut butter cookies, carrots, cheeze whiz, did I mention carrots? weird traits and/or habits and/or annoying habits: - Jade smiles! (when he's been bad and knows it) -when really displeased or upset about something his upperlips puff up. I don't know how to explain it (I have to get a pic) we call it the elvis lip. -if caught chewing on someones arm he pretends he was yawning and even goes as far as to start stretching. -(since I correct Jade every time he growls at the horses) he'll sniff around the ground outside and growl under his breath. -he thinks he's a lap dog. no exaggaration (any dobe owner will tell you) -if an argument breaks out between two people he'll start yipping at whoever he feels is the instigator. -if the washer is going (and he's in the same room as the washer) he'll turn it off (the sound frightens him). I still haven't figured out how he does this one. Fears: loud big vehicles, the wind, ciggarettes, and lighters. Words he understands: (I don't call all of these "commands" since a lot of them are more word association. Everyone speaks to Jade a lot. If you want an intelligent dog that's how it's done.
