These are pictures of the two people who look after all our needs. We all have many needs; some of mine include being fed, being fed, being fed, and now and then, being fed. These people dispense hay and carrots and oats and the occasional Pepsi to me. Being a horse, I am entitled to these things.
I'm supposed to be telling you about these two, Veronica and Amanda, so I will start. Amanda is on the right in the blue shirt and Veronica is on the left in the green (my favourite colour!) They are 21 years old as of June 5th, both of them, because get this! They are twins!
A and V, or Mandy and Ronnie, as they are affectionately known to some, both enjoy the great outdoors, wildlife and the wilderness, as evidenced by the long trail rides they take me on. I (and Barney and Bill) also get ridden on the side of the road alot, and I'm not even scared!
Every morning after they feed us, my owners go do their human things...like going to a place called Lakehead University. Both are taking a biology major or some such scientific thing that I don't understand, they recently started their third year there. In the summers, they work, so they don't spend as much time with me, but I guess it's okay, I hear they need this thing called money (which has something to do with hay and oats I think) to keep me and my friends in the style we are accustomed too! In their free time, my people like to do things like draw and paint, listen to music, go places, road trips, read good books, talk to other human friends, watch the latest movies...all sorts of human-like things. And of course ride us horses and drive the Percherons too. And camping and fishing, two things I, as a horse, have not tried. I tried to get in a tent once...but that's another story...And photography...my owners love taking pictures (in fact it's thanks to them that I have all these photographs on my page) God knows how many times I have to stand still and strike poses for the camera!
Even though my owners have pretty much the same likes and dislikes, they are each unique and they have different personalities. I know it bugs them when people think of them as the same person. Generally, people have no troubles telling them apart. But I also know they think its lots of fun being twins. I guess that's all I can say, except that we all live together with their mom and dad and younger sister on 100 acres in the wonderful province of Ontario, Canada, and we love it here!
