When I sit like this, Mom calls me meatloaf or doorstop.  I'm not offended though.  I just dive-bomb the bed at 4 a.m.
Heh, heh, heh...

I was born in March of 1998 to a pregnant stray who had been taken to the League for Animal Welfare by a good samaritan.  I was very happy at the shelter, since it was the only home I knew, but I secretly wished for my own special parents to love.  When Mom and Dad visited, I was so excited that I ran around playing with everything!  I especially loved Dad's sneakers, which I wrestled with as if I were in a WWF match.  Mom and Dad knew I was the right one to play with my sister Sasha.

When I got to my new home, I promptly
paraded around the house with my tail straight up.  Even at just 3 months old I was so confident and sure of myself, even in a brand new place with new people and a resident kitty that was 7 months older than me!

I settled right into my new family although, to be honest, at first I was kinda scared of playing with Sasha.  I think it was because she was bigger than me.   Mom was concerned at first but as I grew bigger I warmed up to Sasha.  Now I'm bigger than she is!

In September 1998, I was spayed at the Highland Heights Animal Hospital.  The surgery was free because I had been adopted from the League.  Everything went fine, and I was flying around the house again within 30 minutes of being brought back home!  Mom seemed a bit anxious, but you know how people worry too much!

For many months I had some health problems.  They started about 7 days after I was given a combo vaccination at the shelter, right before I was taken home.  I sneezed a lot, and also threw up and had diarrhea.  At first Mom gave me echinacea and goldenseal extract, which helped a lot.  But the symptoms would always come back weeks later.

Finally, Mom read that I could be suffering from vaccinosis, whereby the vaccine imparts a sub-clinical version of the diseases it's vaccinating against.  Mom looked for a natural treatment for this and found the homeopathic remedy Thuja.  She gave me one Thuja 30C pellet dissolved in a little cream.  The next day the vomiting and diarrhea had stopped.  A week later I sneezed and Mom gave it to me again, and again about 3 weeks later.  It's now been 2 months and it seems the vaccinosis is gone.

I spend a lot of my time looking for something or someone to play with.  I copycatted Sasha and learned how to drag the Bird toy around in my mouth to get Mom to play with me.  When I was younger, I loved to play fetch with a plastic tab off of a milk jug.  I could do that for hours and never get tired.  Mom thought it was amusing to see me trotting around with a plastic tab in my mouth, even though her arm would hurt from throwing it so much.  Then one day Sasha took me aside and told me that fetching was something
dogs did!  After that I decided maybe I should take up a hobby that was more feline.  Window surfing!

My hunting instinct is extremely strong, and I love to spend the afternoons sitting in the windowsill, chattering at the birds and squirrels outside.   I try to be warm and polite and invite them to come closer to the window so we can meet properly, but they never do.  Can they read my mind?  I don't think so, cause Mom says I don't have one.  Maybe it's the way my tail swishes back and forth impatiently, or the way I flash my fangs while I'm talking to them!
