Why Is This Page Here? Every year, thousands of pets are stolen right out from under their owners' noses. Tragedy strikes these families, as there is nothing one can do to prepare for such a horrible incident. When the pet in question does double duty--not only as a beloved pet and companion, but as a certified cadaver search dog--the loss is multiplied for it is not just a pet that is lost, but a specially trained, highly sensitive member of an elite corps that brings grief resolution to families who just need to know. On Sunday, February 27, 2000, one of those members was missing after his owner/handler's vehicle was broken in to. We maintain every conviction that Thumper will be show up. He might have a few scratches and maybe lost a few pounds, but we know he will show up. We need everyone's help to bring this to fruition.
