Acknowledgements

Being somewhat of a computer illiterate I couldn't possibly have done all this on my own. I therefore want to acknowledge my debt to the following persons, some of whom you will also find on the LINKS page:

Aad Hoogesteger, who helped me do the first setup, and who provided me with advice throughout the whole painful process.

Walter van Dijk, who -although just arrived from South Africa and very busy reorganizing his life here in the Netherlands- gracefully lent me some of his time and scanned a lot of photographs for me.

My wife, Gerda, for her always present -though at times somewhat grumpy- patience with what she called my new obsession.

My son, Jeroen, who was always there, when I ran into unexpected -by me- difficulties.

My daughter, Mei-lan, without whom there would have been very many less good pictures than there are, and who taught her father to put things more in perspective.

Kris But (Cattery "Of Glastonbury Tor") the breeder of Doorak, who so graciously offered to outplace one of her kittens with us. In the future there will also be a story about and pictures of an Abyssinian/Somali variant, and -hopefully- her kittens on these pages.

Klaas van der Heide and his wife Jacqueline (Cattery "Calvencade Cats") the breeder of Kuniyoshi.

Ria and Cor Konink (Catter: "Ravottersgaarde") for their willingness to deliver some of the advice they have gained during their enormous experience with Abyssinians.

ALL my friends from SICC, who are too many to name them individually, but who have been of enormous support, emotionally (Thank you Gwyneth!) as well as technically. For Fun(Kimmie among a lot of others); Games(Reva especially); and Technical Help(Aad, Darrell, and Paula especially). For help during depressions, lending all of their sympathetic ears; for joyous sympathy when something good had happened; and for being there at all times.

And all those people I have forgotten the names of, who taught me what I know about cats and the little I know of computers, and so made this page possible.

So Aad, Gerda, Jeroen, Klaas, Kris, Mei-lan,Walter, Aad, Darrell, Paula, and all the others thank you very much an may your lives be long, healthy and fruitful.

AS TIME GOES BY....

(of course) I also get reactions to my page from visitors and (mainly) from friends. Sometimes they contain valuable suggestions, which I want to acknowledge.

So here's to PAT NYLEN, who is the first -and up till now the only one- who contributed to the Poison Plant part of my pages. (Milkweed and Parsnip to be exact). Thank you Pat and keep up the good work!
