Cassie, an exceptionally beautiful and intelligent calico cat, was born May 27, 1988 in the mountains of Western North Carolina. In 1991 she migrated to Southern California where she has adopted an appropriately relaxed and pampered lifestyle. Along with eating, one of her favorite activities is chasing shadows. Cassie loves shadows of all kinds, especially the ones generated from the refrigerator door opening and closing and from a hand making designs on the wall. While Tootie and Hobbes never shared her enthusiam for chasing shadows, Cassie managed to mildly peak their interest. It is Cassie's love of shadows that was the inspiration for this web site's name. When she isn't pursuing shadows, or waiting for her next meal, Cassie enjoys watching nature shows on TV.
