Hobbes was a splendid and delightful cat, full of joy and good humor. He and his sister, Tootie, were born on May 13, 1992 in Southern California. They moved in with Cassie in 1994. Soon after, Hobbes and Cassie were partners in crime. One of their favorite activities was opening the drawer in the kitchen and pulling out all of the dish towels and pot holders, then racing off down the hallway together. After losing Hobbes to cancer in 1998, Cassie has left that particular drawer alone. We all miss Hobbes very much and our memories of him continue to grow sweeter with time.
God in His grace has given us cats
So that even the lonely
Can love and admire
Creatures so light, so graceful, so elegant,
We are inspired by them to know
our own perfection
And the love and grace that fills this life.
