Merry Christmas from the Daniels family. Here is some of our traditions. Our favorite recipes. Hope you enjoy and have a nice Christmas.

Ok I know this is an old picture but it is one of my favorite.

As you will be able to notice I love snowmen and I collect them. I have tons and tons and still collecting them. You will find snowmen in about every room of my house. I leave them out all year round now. I have been asked why do I collect snowmen well here is my answer to that question, You will never see a sad snowman they are always happy and will put a smile on the sadest face.

As for some of our traditions I guess these are just a few that I can remember. We go out driving around looking at christmas lights. We love going to Ashland Ky. to the park there they have christmas lights all around their park it is so beautiful. We also decorate all the house around the door facings, mantle when we have one. We turn all the lights out through out the house with only the christmas tree, snowmen, candles, music boxes on. Oh it is so cosy I love the feeling I get. We have our village set up. There is also the baking we do make alot of sweets and it does show on our waist line...LOL

This is another tree I have had over the years.

Some of the things you would see on my christmas trees are, snowman and snowwomen, drummerboys, crocheted snowflakes, candy canes, things my boys made when they where in school long ago. Also some santa's some are with bowling balls there is some just with the face of santa. There is some crocheted ice skates that I have made over the years then there is some cardinals, poinsettas that I have made from plastic canvas. I also have sitting going up my tree is the ladder with the christmas mice going up, it is so cute. There are so many more things I want for my tree and to decorate with but those things will have to wait. Well this is just some of the things you would find on my tree. Oh yes and if you can see the white envolpe on the tree well that is something that is a tradition around here now I get some lottery tickets and put them in a envolope for each of my children and grandchildren oh yes and hubby to, then on Christmas morning or Christmas Eve they open them. I have one daughter-in-law that has won most of the times. This is fun but I do tell them if they win big bucks to not forget about me.

Well we have finally moved into our own home and are tickled to death about it. There is alot I want to do but will take time.

Well we have been here for a year now. Last Christmas we put up all the decorations throughout the house and out side even. IT was beautiful.

Well we weren't going to put up any Christmas decorations this year, for several reasons really only I am thinking at least to put up the Tree not yet sure I am putting all the other stuff up and out but the tree yes!!!! One reason we wasn't going to put the tree up is because we have 3 kittens well they just turned a year old and they are into everything, and I know they are going to have some big fun with the tree...lol At least it isn't going up as early as I most of the time put it up so maybe they won't do to much damage to the tree and ornaments.

Had to put santa on my page for my grandchildren.

There is nothing like watching a child see the christmas tree for the first time. I love watching my granddaughter looking at the different ornaments I have, and the village set she will sit for awhile and touch and move the little trees and people. She thinks this is hers. She is foresure going to be very upset when it is taken down I am sure.
