In Memory

This is going to be a page on my father and Pauls father. We miss our fathers so very much.

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; They rod and they staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

My dads name was William Paul Hicks born November 26, 1922 and died on December 3, 1988. He was a father of 7 daughters no sons and one daughter deceased.

Dad was what held my family together only none of us girls knew how much till he was gone. Dad was a Truck driver and when he retired it was more than he could stand so he didn't sit around the house he went to work for Pinkertons Guard Service and that helped pass some time away.

Norman Daniels Jr. December 1,1927-September 15,1990.

Norman Daniels Jr. is Pauls father. He was a very good man everyone that meet Gramps loved him, he was witty, good carpenter, as we always have said he was jack of all trades and master of none....lol He remolded his home, sectary of the union where he worked. He was like a father to me and often told me that I was the daughter he never had. He loved his grandsons so very much. I gave him the name Gramps and it sure did stick.

Gramps is the one I called whenever I would move furniture around he would walk me through how to reconnect the cable to the tv set when Paul was at work...lol He always knew when I had moved the tv set and got a kick out of it though he always told me you moved it again for I would move my living room around at least once a week. You would have thought that as many times as I called hime I would have memorised how to do it but never did and still don't have a clue how to do it...lol I sure do miss gramps and so does all the family.
