Originally it started as an amateur
Hawaiian band in 1996 with a dozen of men and women .

2002-2003 |
The Impact Era
to a dance band |
Those who liked to
enjoy other genre of music made a
new band The Impact inside.
Selected members of The Impact came to play once a month at
"Number One" , a night club in neighborhood of Kasukabe,
for a year until the club got closed. That gave them a career as a
dance band. The number of members became smaller. |

a renamed small band |
There remained 3 original members of the selected. They renamed
their band from The Impact to
The Compact
because its size got really compact,
and posted recruitment of new members, while enjoying a variety of
experiments twice a week. |

In late August of 2004
The Compact
has doubled its size in a short period. Some new members
wanted stages eagerly. The band quickly came to make its stage performances with
its first live stage at
Liverpool on Sept.18, 2004. |

Dance Band again
with monthly regular performance

Early this year,
in Jan.-Feb, according to
requests from some dance circles,
The Compact
restarted
its career of dance music band.
Subsequently in March, Peking Hall, a
dance hall in the city, seeking for a regular band, offered us to apply to
its audition.
Audition occurred on March 12, just
the day after the band's 5th/last live at a live house.
Owner of the hall highly appreciated
the dance arrangements by Chelsea,
band master.
The Compact
became the regular band of Peking
Hall. Its primary category became dance band. |

The Compact
has successfully performed 20 stages at
Peking Hall/other event sites during these16 months.
The band welcomed the idea to have
summer holidays.
Special thanks to Peking Hall for
allowing us to have summer holidays. |

Seeking for what we have never
done: Studying The Beach Boys/The Beatles. Found this is difficult, and
Bassist moved away for gigs. Others found it a fun, however. |

One day we've got to know that
we have nice voices. Especially Hilory's natural Bass voice is incredible.
Started singing in chorus. Found difficult to play and sing at the same
time, but it's a great fun and joy to. |
