Keeping Your Maltese Happy (and Healthy)

When you first bring your new little Maltese puppy home, there are some cautions you will want to take to keep it healthy
and to help it to adjust to it's new home.  Here are some things you will want to avoid.

***Overstimulation: Excessive handling or an introduction to too many things too fast can create stress and insecurity.
***Overfeeding or underfeeding: This can cause diarrhea.   Also do not add new foods to soon or fast.
***Neglecting training: Start your housebreaking immediately to reduce accidents.
***Don't allow puppies to jump off furniture: Yor new little puppy's legs break easily.

Don't expect too much, too soon from your new little Maltese.  Give it time to adjust to your lifestyle and it's new
environment. Make no mistake about it, your puppy is checking out your every move.  Part of what a puppy does best is to
memorize the routines in it's environment.  It will not take long for your new family member to become a happy member
of the family.  AND YOUR BEST FRIEND!
