Ever since zippy was a small kitten, he always wanted
to get up higher, as most cats do. But Zippy had a different way
of doing this: He used my husband! As you can see by this picture,
Zip feels that Carl's shoulder is "the place to be"! And he will
always find his way up there, given the least
opportunity.
As a kitten, he would climb up Carl's jeans, to his shirt and up on his
shoulder, then look around wide-eyed at all that was going on. Once,
when Zippy was a kitten, Carl went outside to start the barbecue grill
with Zippy going along for the ride! Well, that was it for Zippy;
he has always looked forward to being on Carl's shoulder and will make
himself comfy there every time! This picture was taken while we were
installing dry-wall in our living room and, as you can see, Zippy just
"hangs out" while we are working. "Don't mind me, I'm just watching"
seems to be Zippy's attitude. He doesn't stay on Carl's shoulder
all
the time....he is quite a cuddler and loves to cuddle up in my lap when
I'm relaxing or watching TV. One of his favorites was a "pouch sweatshirt"
that I had and he loved that! He would curl up in the pouch and hang
out or sleep, leaving me with having to carry him around everywhere I went!
He is a sweetheart, but Carl still cringes when he will suddenly get that
"wide-eyed" look and Carl knows Zippy is going to pounce on that shoulder!!
