"Tanner"
<-Tanner was a not-so-secret desire fulfilled! I met Tanner at the age of 6 months and fell instantly in love with him. Unfortunately for me he was promised to another person new into cockers. Things didn't work out there and he was returned to one of the breeders. I had left one of my bitch's to be bred to Tanner's sire and Tanner was there when I came to pick her up. It really was funny as she was trying to convince me to take him as he needed lots of TLC and I could hardly wait to take him! Well I ended up with him right then and without even phoning my now ex husband to let him know, I was on my way home. I was excited but nervous as to how to introduce this news. Well you know somehow he noticed that there were 2 sets of eyes looking at him from out of that crate! What could I say?
Tanner had a rough start and after almost 2 years of work he came to trust men and was my closest friend. He loved the show ring and spending time with me. Together we were special and I will always treasure those times. He could just fly around that show ring and gave me the greatest thrill when we took a Group 1st at a local show. He was an extra special boy and I appreciate the trust that was placed in me that day I took him home. I am proud of what we accomplished as he was truly a testament to the excellence of his breeding and we shared a great bond that was forged through love, trust and understanding. The lines that produced him are still a part of Tamihi and are helping us to reach our goal of having healthy, happy cockers that conform in type to the standard of the breed.->
