Sir McGinty O'Shazac (McGinty) 7-1-83 to 27-1-95The Godfather of Strabahn Shown with moderate success his best achievements: Limit in Show Irish Setter Club Ch Show Puppy in Show Waitemata Gundog Club Grade 4 in Obedience McGinty's Loves: Any special occasions especially Christmas, Easter, Guy Fawkes (opening parcels and Fireworks) and food (B.B.Que Prawns and Lobster) His hates: with great passion were Hedgehogs, Pigs and Blackbirds. He was a great ambassador of the breed. |

Fieldworthy Double Ace (Reegan) 02-3-85 to 12-8-99 The Matriarch of Strabahn She was named after the Fairy Princess from Midsummers Night Dream. She was the foundation bitch of Strabahn, a gentle delightful lady always, who loved shows mainly for the social side. Reegan's loves: Chicken (cooked or alive), meeting people, playing hostess to any visitors and inspecting other peoples house's(maybe she was a Real Estate Sales person in another life) Show achievments: Limit in Show Irish Setter Club Ch Show Brood Bitch of the year Irish Setter Club By far her greatest achievement was in producing (with the help of NZ CH Errigal Brannigan Boy) 2 Champions: Sinead and Ronan (Sinead pet name Cassie going on to Irish Setter of The Year ) |

NZ CH Sinead of Strabahn (Cassie) 17-5-88 to 15-10-03 Cassie was a born showgirl and shown with great success. Show achievements: Irish setter of The Year: Irish Setter Club, Multiple Best of Group: All Breeds, Multiple Reserve in Show: Irish Setter Club, Multiple Veteran in Show: Gundog Specialties Cassie won her last Best Bitch award at 10 years; now retired and living the good life as she so rightly deserves. Cassie has had 2 litters; the first producing 2 NZ Champions (Fallon and Lady in Red of Strabahn), and 1 ADX Agility Champion (Rosemary of Strabahn. From the second litter we have Sheridan and Ben McDui of Strabahn, both of whom are shown. |

NZ CH Ronan of Strabahn (Ronan alias Bubba) 17-5-88 to 1-10-01 Shown with great difficulty as he hated the show ring (we think he may have been shy and did not like people looking). However, we persevered and took him to his Championship title along with Multiple Best Of Group wins. In his 10 Irish Setter Club Champ shows, he went Best Head Dog 6 times. Ronan is a quiet, gentle boy. He still likes going out to shows just to socialise (like his mother Reegan)A real gentleman to the end missed by all. |

NZ CH Fallon of Strabahn (Fallon) 12-12-93 to 5-12-02 Fallon has the most beautiful nature (from her father Aust&NZ CH Cloonagerra Summer Magic Imp UK) hence her alias Sweetie Darling. Show achievements: Multiple Challenge winner; Multipule Junior in show All Breeds, N.Z Bred in show Irish setter Club Champ show, N.Z Bred of The Year Irish Setter Club. She is also a Multiple Group winner. She is a true birdog loves setting and catching (when she can ) any bird that dares to land in the orchard. Still being shown WHEN she feels like it (forget the hot weather). Has had 2 litters producing Coogen and Magee from the first born 7/1/98.Her 2nd litter born 25/11/01 produced 3 boys Codey(shown with a little success by ourselves)Retro(he is just starting his obediance doing well)Henry(lives in Honolulu)Lady Tara(lives on the Island of Kauai,Hawaii)and Shannon(she lives with her family and Bryn a Gordon Setter in NZ) Unfortunatly Fallon developed a tumor behind her eye and with great sadness was put to sleep on the 5th Dec 02 she is greatly missed by all(human and canine) |
