Causes I support!

Millions of cats are being killed each year because they keep having kittens and there are not enough homes! Please neuter or spay your animal. You are not only doing your animal a favor, but also the rest of the cat population! Alex and Sasha are both fixed and Ty-Ty will be, as well, when he is old enough.

One of the benefits of fixing a male cat is that there is a lower chance that it will spray it's territory in your home. If a cat sprays, the odor can last for years, even though you may have washed the spot it sprayed very well.

The ribbon shows that I support getting your cats fixed! Go to the url and take a banner or ribbon and show your support too!

I also support adopting animals from shelters - not pet stores. In many cases, animals in pet stores are not taken care of very well. Adopting a cat from a shelter saves a life. Alex, Sasha and Ty-Ty were all adopted from a no-kill shelter. Because we adopted from this particular shelter, we also receive 20% off any shots, or surgeries we need done through the vet at this animal hospital. I have been quite happy with my cats so far. No fleas, most had their shots, and staff is friendly. Granted, this may be far different from a shelter that kills animals but adopt a stray and save a life (and make yours happier as well!).

I also support taking your cats to the vet for shots yearly. All 3 of my cats have been to the vet each year for their shots. You may say "Well, I can't afford it." You can if you love them enough. I am a college student, paying all my bills on my own (with the help of my fiancé) and I am still able to afford to take my cats for their yearly shots. Think of it this way- shots now mean fewer vet visits later and a longer life span with fluffy!

I also support having indoor cats. Why? Outdoor cats only live an approximate of 3 years due to car/dog/weather related deaths.

Cats do NOT have to go outside to be happy. Cats can be happy while being inside all their lives. Please keep your kitty inside. I have seen cat from my childhood days and others hit by cars. An inside kitty is a safe kitty! And always have a name tag, even on an indoor kitty, in case it escapes!

Don't Leave your Cats Behind!!!

I also want to educate new cat owners on getting a cat. A cat is not a small responsibility. Remember, up to 15+ years your cat will depend on YOU! Each day You need to clean it's litter, give it fresh food and clean water, and most of all - love it!! If you can't imagine yourself with a cat 15 years down the road when you have a family - please don't get a cat!

Many people decide they want a cat without thinking through this big decision and it leads to cats being left behind when people move.

Remember - a cat is for life! Love it and never leave it. Click the banner to the side and read the sad poem and you will never want to leave your cat!

Most of All -

LOVE YOUR CATS!!

Cats are independent animals, but don't be fooled. Cats want attention too! Love your cats and spend time with your cats.

Stop the Twisty Kitties!

These cats are specifically bred to have deformed feet! I think this is really cruel. Not only should these people stop breeding them, people should stop buying them and start getting shelter cats!

This is what they look like :(
