Places
I Went
and
Things
I Saw
This is not the most flattering
picture of me.
It was a very hot day.
The playground is a good place
to sniff around because it
is popular with dogs and there are lots of interesting sniffs.. After
visiting here,
we usually carry on up the
path behind the playground and take a big
long walk to the hatchery.
You will see it is a good way to cool off on a hot day.
This is the beginning of the
trail. Kiwi and I usually have a pre-walk dip in the pond.
The trail goes on for about
two miles and passes the little building where they have the fish hatchery.....(that
is not very interesting). We carry on to the end of the trail and
have a wade in Coal Creek. This is Kiwi not me. I was too excited
and would not stay still long enough for grandma to take my picture.
I regret it now but maybe another day.
I am queen of all I survey!
See how high up I was! Chrome Island looked so little down below
us because we were on a cliff. Going for long walks in wild places
like this is called hiking. I am a very good hiker. I am always
in the lead as the picture below will show.
Here I am contemplating the view.
See the path of stone.
It was a new kind of hike for me.

This is Kiwi and I with our
great grandma and great grandpa at Spider Lake. I did not see any spiders.
Kiwi and I went swimming.
We had cheese, chicken and
hard boiled eggs for dinner.

Week Five
Cynthia's Wedding
My mother and father are always
going to weddings. Each time they go they leave me with grandma.
I had never even seen a wedding!!! I told you I was neglected!
But this time it was different. I got to be a bride's maid. Kiwi
was the matron of honour but she was so busy looking after babies that
she did a rotten job so I was the canine star!
Here is a close up of the bride and her attendants. I am on the right, looking at Cynthia. She is of course supposed to be the center of attention. Kiwi is busy looking over at the babies!!! No one will ask her to be in their wedding party again.
Unfortunately, the photo does not properly show the pink floral pattern on the attendants' outfits.
