Swimming
and Sunbathing
My grandma
and grandpa live on the sea shore but their house is set back from the
beach and Kiwi and I are not allowed down there without a grown up to look
after us. Also the ocean can be cold, so for swimming we prefer
the pond in the back yard. This is just a corner of it. It
is about as big as a house.
After my lunch time walk, I
like to lie in the sun on the lawn or on the deck. When I get too
warm, I go in for a dip. Then out for a nice nap in the sun
again. If that gets too warm I move into the shade or go for another
swim. Sometimes I chase the koi fish in the pond. No wonder
I sleep so well at night! All this back and forth is enough to tire a dog
out.
Here are Kiwi and I chasing the
koi. I am in the lead of course because I am a much faster dog.
