Riders
There are many different types of riders.
One type is a jockey. A jockey is a person who rides in races. A jockey can ride in one or two races per day, or 9 or 10 per day. A jockey wears white jockey pants, silks, which are shirts with the colors of the stable, and a helmet with goggles. Steeplechasers wear the same thing.
Dressage riders wear a top hat, black or navy tailcoat, white breeches, and gloves.
Show jumpers wear black hard-hats, dark coats and black boots. Females wear a white shirt with stock white breeches and black boots. Males wear the same. The only difference is that the top of men's boots are brown.
