Shelle's Stuff--Frankie's page
Frankie

Frankie is a beautiful, blue-eyed lynx point Siamese that we adopted from Pet Helpers through PetSmart on March 16, 2000. He was neutered and declawed when we got him. I'd never have a cat declawed, but I have to admit, I'm kind of glad that Frankie is, because he can be a bit ornery!

Before he came to live with us, Frankie belonged to an old man who lived in a nursing home. He had to give Frankie up because at night he was terrorizing all the little old ladies who lived there! His name was "Fluff" which I thought was odd, since he's a male cat and not at all fluffy. So I changed it to Frankie, for Frank Sinatra, because of his blue eyes, and the fact that Siamese are know for being very vocal.

Frankie was so upset about being at PetSmart (and the fact that they made him wear a collar) that he wouldn't let anyone touch him. As soon as we got him out to the van he calmed right down. Apparently he likes to ride.

Frankie's settling in pretty good now, although he and Robin just LOVE to antagonize each other. Keira's still a bit scared of him. Becky would be happier if he had never shown up, but they tolerate each other (sometimes). I still don't quite trust him around the birds, but they're all getting used to each other.

Frankie loves to sit on the back of my computer chair while I'm on the computer. This is not the smartest thing he could do, since he can't hang on well without his front claws and he falls off a lot. I guess it doesn't hurt too much or he'd quit doing it.
