My Cute Little Ashlar

This little sleeping beauty is my third ferret, Ashlar. After we got Emaleth things were very pleasant in the household. Lasher and Emaleth would play and have fun and seemed happy. After Emaleth had grown a little we thought that they seemed bored and needed another brother or sister to make it a cozy little bunch. My boyfriend had gone to get food when he came back and said that the pet store had this cute little white ferret in. I thought that sounded adorable but didn't mention me wanting to get it. The next morning when I woke up I thought about a little white ferret again and told my boyfriend I thought we should get it. He declared that he would get it for me as my future birthday present and I agreed and we ran over to the pet store hoping that no one had bought the ferret yesterday. As soon as I laid eyes on Ashlar I knew that I would love him as much as I loved my other two ferrets. Ashlar wasn't all white and had this little stripe of silver running down his back and tail. We took him home and he looked around a bit and then fell asleep under my desk, which is the above picture. He is the most playful ferret we have and is absolutely a joy to have. We realized about a month after getting him that he is deaf, but that doesn't stop him from playing with our other ferrets and from doing tricks.
