Sandy

Sandy

Sandy was a very special ferret. We acquired her from another family who didn’t want her anymore. She bit and she was terrified of everyone and everything. It took me 4 months or very hard work to get her to stop biting me. The she became the most loving, sweet girl I have ever known.

Sandy was a beautiful butterscotch. Her photos do not do her justice. She has a very pale, mostly white face with garnet eyes that just cried out for understanding and love. She and I shared something special that I haven’t gotten from my other ferrets.

Sandy passed away in September 2000 after a very bad reaction to her distemper shot. Though we tried so very, very hard to save her, nothing worked. She is patiently waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for me. I have written this story in honor of her: Sandy's Journey
