thanks for the advice. I have recently had impact windows installed in my home. Specifically, six windows, one sliding glass door and a side light on the front door. After they were installed the remodeling company informed me that the side light was lexo
and not glass. I was a bit disappointed because I don't feel it is as strong as the impact glass used for the other windows. also the prior glass on my door was very thick and the frame was built around it. However, the lexon installed feels thin and h
s now been placed on the side light with a small thin wood frame around it. thank you

I am an Illinois architect designing a Ft. Lauderdale House, to be drawn by a local engineer.
You sent me the website link on email in answer to my questions about certain windows.
Your website is useless for design application purposes becasue there is no specific size information. (Se Pella for a better format )
Can you send me the above size information?
Thanks,
J. Peter Holsman residential architect
All I wanted was a chart of all available sizes for hurricane windows-specifically the widest single-width units with picture unit above and a low vent below, either single hung or casement or awning. An alternative would be a single wide casement above a
d a low fixed unit below. Total height of both to be about eight feet high.

I have a new product that I have in the patent process for use in storm protection that can double as a shutter mount and a mount for plywood as a covering for windows. I have just started marketing it in June of this year and am still expanding. I don'
know if you are in the market for new products or list new products, but if you are, I would love to hear back from you.

Section on shutters does not mention bahama shutters. Are there any types of bahama shutters that meet impact test? I need a list of manufacturers with code-approved shutters. Couldn't locate on your website.

Dave,
Great site! (I expected nothing less!).
Thanks for all the help from you and Julie at the testing workshop this week. It made it very apparent to those who attended, how much protection the proper windows can make, and how limited the applied film are.
Thanks also from the Florida Association of Building Inspectors.
