H.I.S. Home Inspections Services WHAT WE DO:
EXTERIOR INSPECTION - inspect the grounds around the home. i.e. the bushes and plants that surround the house, porches, soffits, carport, garage, and all outbuildings, observe the general condition of the exterior facings, the roof or wall areas, roof valleys, all flashings including around the chimney, down spouts, the foundation and the condition of the caulking and paint.
INTERIOR INSPECTION - checking the basement or crawl space, parts of the floor joists, electrical wiring, plumbing pipes, walls, ceilings, floors, steps, stairways, balconies, and railings, all cabinets and counters in the kitchen or bath, windows, doors, and lighting fixtures, the entire underside of the roof, insulation, attic ventilation and numerous other items.
WRITTEN REPORT - a detailed typed report outlining deficiencies as well as attributes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 26 years of residential and commercial construction.
- 1977 graduate of University of Windsor, B.A.
- 1978 graduate of University of Windsor, B.of Ed.
- 1979 honorary graduate of "Building Damage Estimating" from Vale Insurance Centre
- 1997 honorary graduate of "Home Inspection" from NRI Institute.
- applicant member of the OAHI ( Ontario Association of Home Inspectors ).
- 1999 certificate of completion of OAHI "Defect Recognition and Reporting Course"
