Balisong Mountaineers of Batangas, Inc. (BMBI) is a non-profit, non-government organization of the young and young professionals of Batangas and neighboring cities and municipalities dedicated to the protection and preservation of our forests, mountains and waters and  promoting mountaineering, hiking and backpacking as a sport.

BMBI is founded in December of 1998 with an idea of creating a club to encourage people to use their free time to enjoy the outdoors through hiking and backpacking and help do something in preserving and conserving our natural and national heritage, including the indigenous tribes we meet in our search for the serene, the wild and the beautiful.
