1919-1988 Website

The purpose of this website is to provide a tribute to Ribble Motor Services of Preston before its absorption into the Stagecoach empire.

In those pre-Stagecoach days, Ribble was one of the largest operators in the UK and a jewel in the crown of both BET, and later, National Bus Company. Always strongly associated with Leyland chassis, well maintained buses and the distinctive deep red livery, Ribble, as was, is sorely missed today.

This website aims to recapture some of that character and atmosphere.

What's New:

 The latest upgrade - 4 August brings you the Falklands RESLs.

For those whose preference is for the Stagecoach Ribble era, a new website will shortly be opened dealing with that period.
