Yep, that's the name of the of the page. Why I named it that, I amn't sure yet. Today I just turned 20, and I estimate the orignation of my first page being around 14 or so. Since then, only a few pages have been recent additions. In a slightly similar way, from graduating highschool I have moved on to Louisiana State University, majoring in English and minoring in Chinese. And through this transition of education so many things challenged my faith, questions (the ones everybody asks) came about, and I struggled in my walk with my Creator. Sometimes my "walk with the Lord" could best be described as God pulling me along. I have dealt with depression, loneliness, as well as family relational problems. My reading of the Bible dwindled, and so did my prayer life. I could best describe my life as that of an "Israelite". In the Old Testament, the Israelites would rebel from God, usually by worshipping other gods, and God would send punishment on them. They would turn back to him, and he would accept them. This chronology of events was a continuing cycle. As I remember myself reading about them in the Bible, I can remember thinking, "How can they be so stupid?" How can I be so stupid when I know that throughout my life, my only REAL happiness has been when I am right with the Lord and when I love others? This seems to be God saying to me, "My way of love is the way of true happiness." God has molded my life more to His will through a family that I have come to met who love God with a passion, and, very recently, a friend of mine with the same passion. And I am very grateful for their friendships. Today, I was reading in Judges 6, where God gives the Mideonites to Gideon. With the intent for the Lord alone to receive all of the glory for this defeat, God minimized Gideon's army. It is interesting that those soldiers God did choose were those who were not only unafraid of the enemy, but they also were alert and ready when drinking water. Also, God equipped these soldiers with not only comradship (the other soldiers) and leadership (Gideon) but also fire (torches covered by clay pots) and voice (the triumphant shouting, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!" and trumpets that they sounded). And God gave them victory. I explain this all to say, that no matter what we go through, God can pull us through it! God is soveriegnly in control of EVERYTHING. He will forgive you for all that you have done wrong when you repent of it. He has for me. You can overcome any sin, by the power of Christ, who has overcome everything and remained pure and SINLESS his whole life. Don't give up on God; He hasn't given up on you. Seek him in sincerely. Learn to love others; You'll so be rewarded. "Love PEOPLE." Just as God gave the Mideonites victory, so too can He give you victory!
