I know that all of the "sorry's" in the world won't change what happened, but I am truly sorry for everything that the victims(including the two shooters) and their families have been through. I wish that kids felt like they belonged to some kind of community of people thatthey can talk to and feel appriciated by, but unfortunatley, that isnt how it is. In a school, you're usually nothing but a number, and this saddens me. I really believe things like this can be avoided, if only we will all listen to one another and treat eveyone with compassion and respect. All my love to you all. You will saty in my prayers fo

I would just like to say my heart goes out to all the victims of Columbine. I had gone to Columbine when my family went to Colorodo for my sisters fastpitch softball team, and just the vibe that the school was giving off was just unbelievable. I just felt like i was going to cry. I will keep the victims and there families in my prayers. God Bless.

My mother who is good friends with the San ers is olso struck with a nagging depresion of the insodent. But the thing is that it will olso make us love our family that much more. I realized when I seen this tragic event that life is so precious and you should hold it very dear because you never know when you're going to bump into another Eric Harris or Dylan K. What these students have done is horrifying! I mean I am 15 years old and I'm afraid to walk into school anymore. I am a Junior at the Local High School here. Its scary to know that this could happen at anytime to anyone. I'm truley sorry for everything that has happened for you God-sent people. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers. We can all learn from what has happened here if we only open our eyes and our hearts to everyone. God made each of us so very different and so very special. Make those differences a learing experience not a way to hurt one another. We need to make each pe son feel special and feel needed not afraid and unwanted. It is definatley easier said then done, but this is not the way to live. Let's make this world a better place for the future. I pray every day for all the victims of this tradgedy. Please try not to let this event rule your life, however. Let it go into the recesses of your min and try to live a normal life! Don't let the killers live on too long in your recent memory. I'm not saying to totally forget this, just don't let it haunt you to the point of not being able to do anything. We are all so sorry you had to experience th s. I am deeply sorry for the pain you have been dealt. I honestly have never gone through something as horible as this but my thoughts are with those who's loved ones were killed and seriously enjured on April 20,1999. I love each and every one of you and I ill continue to pray for you. I would like to share a poem with you now if I may... IN MEMORY OF COLUMBINE!! THINGS HAPPEN EVERY DAY,NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN. SOMETIMES IT'S A MIRACLE;BUT IN THIS CASE PAIN. ONE MORNIN' INNOCENT PEOPLE RUSHED OFF FOR ANOTHER ORDINARY DAY. BUT ENDED WITH A WISH THAT THIS DREAM WOULD GO AWAY. THE DAY STARTED OFF AS ANY OTHER,LIKE NOTH NG COULD GO WRONG. THEY NEVER HAD A WARNING SIGN THAT IN THAT PLACE THEY DIDN'T BELONG. THE FIRST BELL RANG TO CLASS THEY RAN. GETTING AS MUCH GOSSIP OUT AS THEY CAN. CLASS WENT BY QUICKER THAN LIGHT. BUT THERE WASN'T EVEN A SENSE THAT THINGS WEREN'T RIGH . SECOND PERIOD STARTED AND AGAIN TIME FLEW. BUT STILL NOBODY HAD A CLUE. 11:30 CAME JUST A LITTLE TOO FAST. WHEN THEY HEARD THE FIRTS SOUND AF A LIFE THREATNING BLAST. SOME RAN OUT TO SEE WHAT IT WAS. IN TRENCH COATS WITH GUNS; TWO YELLED"ITS JUST BECAUSE". SCREAMS OF THE INNOCENT FLOODED THE HALLS. WHILE RED STAINS OF AGONY PAINTED THE WALLS. FRIENDS WERE FALLING,SOME GOT AWAY. WHY WOULD THIS HAPPEN ON SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY. YOU COULD HEAR SOMEONE BEG FOR THEIR LIFE IN TEARS. ALL BECAUSE OF A FEW WORDS OVER THE YEARS. BETWEEN THE SOUNDS OF SCREAMING AND THEONES WHO WERE RUNNING. TWO MONSTERS RAN THROUGH LAUGHING AND GUNNING. POINTING AND PULLING THE TRIGGER WITH HATE. WHO WERE THEY TO DETERMINE FATE? YOUNGS ONE'S HIDING WITH TEARS STREAKED RED. AT SEEING THERE CLOSEST FRIENDS LIEING NEAR DEAD. PRAYING AND HOPING THEY WONT BE FOUND. THEY HEAR THE SCARY CALM FOOTSTEPS AROUND. AND THEN ANOTHER SHOT RANG OUT SOMEWHERE. OVER HERE,AND THEN OVER THERE. ALL AROUND THE SOUND OF DEATH. KNOWING IN THEIR HEARTS THIS WAS THEIR LAST BREATH. ATHLETICS/WHITE HATS/AND SOME COLORED SKIN. WHERE DOES SO MUCH HATE BEGIN? WHEN WOULD THIS STOP? WHY WAS THIS HAPPENING? WHY WERE THOSE TWO YOUNG BOYS LAUGHING? FINALLY THEN, ALL SURROUNDED BY BOOKS. THEY CALMLY GAVE EACH OTHER HEART STOPPING LOOKS. THEN RAISED THEIR OWN GUNS TO THEIR HEAD. IN JUST A FEW MINUTES THEY TO WERE DEAD. HEROES IN BLACK WITH BADGES OF GOLD. SAW THE FEAR ALL AROUND AND THEIR BODY'S GROW COLD. AN OUTSIDE SWIMMING POOL OF NOTHING BUT BLOOD. TOLD THEM THE INSIDE OF THE SCHOOL WASN'T GOOD. THEY MADE SURE THE ONES WHO GOT FREE WERE OKAY. AND THOSE WOUNDED WERE QUICKLY CARRIED AWAY. THEY WANTED TO GET IN THEIR AND GET THEM ALL OUT. BUT THE TWO BOYS HID BOMBS UNKNOWNLY ABOUT. THEY HAD TO BE CAUTIOUS THERE WERE STILL KIDS INSIDE. NOT SURE OF HOW MANY HAD ALREADY DIED. PARENTS AND FRIENDS AWAITED THEIR NEWS. TO FIND OUT WHICH LOVED ONE'S OF THEIRS THEY'D LOSE. SO MANY HURT WITH DREAMS WASHED AWAY. BUT SO MANY GONE, TAKEN AWAY. "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?" SO MANY NEEDED TO KNOW. WHY DID THESE INNOCENT CHILDRED HAVE TO GO? 15 UNNAWARE THIS WAS THEIR TIME. BUT DID IT HAVE TO END IN SUCH A HORRIBLE CRIME? SO MANY YOUNG LIVES WASTED AWAY. CAUSE OF RUDE COMMENTS AND GESTURES WERE HEARD EVERYDAY. THEY HAD NO IDEA, THEY WERE CAUSING SO MUCH PAIN. AND NOW IN THE END SO MANY BROKEN HEARTS TO CLAIM. IM SORRY, IKNOW THIS IS SUCH A HARD TIME. BUT WERE PRAYING FOR YOU WITH LOVE TO COLUMBINE.. TO THE FAMILIES, FRIENDS,AND STAFF OF THE INNOCENT VICTIMS IN THE COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL SHOOTIND. Lately i have heard a lot of people saying stuff like "My heart goes out to the 13 that have died" and "why did those 13 people have to be killed?" Well i dont like that opinion. 15 people die that day. Yeah the two you forgot where the two who killed eve ybody. But they still died. They deserve to be counted. How do you think their parents feel when people say stuff like that? i know that would make me very angry if my kids where the ones who killed everybody and no one counts them. i may be young but tha does not mean that i dont know what im talking about. i dont agree with waht Eric and Dylan did but they still died that day just like the other 13. if you would like to comment on what i jsut said then you can e-mail me and say what you wanna say. It is only when the unimaginable happens that we, as a nation, start to wonder about the effect our society, such as it is, is having on our young people. Violence is never the answer, but neither are we giving our children an option. The only lesson we are unwittingly teaching them is that violence is the only means to an end. That we must go to War in order to keep Peace? My thoughts and prayers are with the students, faculty, and parents of Columbine High School. When I first hurd what happen at Columbine High School my friends and myself just couldn't beleave it at first ,until we read about it and saw it on national T.V. After that incident that happen at your school all of D.C and Montgomery County schools bega to make prank bomb threat. They even set a date on May 10,1999 saying that one of Montgomery schools would be bombed. We still had school but I decided to stay home to be on the safe side. My heart goes out to the family who has lost an innocent loved on . But they're safe in GODS hands!! and last but not least always remeber that your children or even friends will always be watching down on you . Sincerly Janeal N. Jones P.S KEEP YOUR HEADS UP!

I would like to express my deepest sympothy to thoes who lost friends and loved ones in this tragic event. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I would like to say that all though guns were the weapons used to commit such a horrible act the guns ar not the issue. Parental guidence and involvement in our childerens lives is the answer to helping to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again. This mass murder could have just as well been commited with some other form of deadly force. I don't believe that guns should be made avalible to our youth. Our youth should be educated and supervised. I am the daughter of a retiered police officer. From my earliest memories of guns I was always allowed to touch and handle guns. But always under the s pervision of my father. Because of my frequent contact with firearms I never developed the curiosity to fire one or try to shooot anyone. I am not saying that if these gunman had had the same experience that I had they would not have committed such and ct. What I am saying is that the guns are not the issue. The parents and home life of the gunman are the issue. These childeren did not deserve to die. Maybe some good can come out of this. Maybe this will be a wake up call for parents out there about there childeren. Getting involved with your kids at 16 is a little late but not too late. It is never too late o love you childeren or get involved in thier lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

For some reason so many innocent children are gone from the lives of their famalies and their friends. I know that it is hurting and the pain and the hole in their hearts will be their forever but just remember that they are all in the loving hands of Go . I am a Senior at my highschool and I don't know what I would do if something like this happened in my school. It has been a terrible experience for everyone, even those that didn't know the victims. "We care about our children... they are our future" If this is what we and our political representatives continue to preach then it is time for our country to take its multibillion dollar war budget and apply the funds to our schools, teachers and social rograms. Smaller teacher-student ratios in classrooms will make a difference. How can we set an example for our children if we adults continue to allow our country to stabilize our economy by selling weapons to others? What are we teaching by our example? How can we tell our children that we care when we are wasting precious resources and hurting the planet due to our own selfish wants and "needs." We have so much more than the rest of the world. How amidst all of this prosperity is our country so devoid o common sense? Let us ask us what the children demand of us, their elders. Then ask yourself if you are willing to make a sacrifice that will benefit all. It is time to put children first. Materialism will not heal us. Let us also not forget my ancestors; Native Americans who were systematically exterminated for their beliefs (eg non-christian) and my foremothers and forefathers stolen from Africa in order to make a profit for the "glorious" United States of America. Is the white media too shallow to overl ok the poverty of my brothers and sisters? Look at our collective history. Can we not see the path we have created for ourselves? These tragedies affect us all as WE ARE ALL ONE FAMILY. When will we learn? What we do to another, we do to ourselves. What w do to ourselves, we do to another. Great Spirit, I pray that I may use the gifts and talents I have been born with to help inspire and uplift all people. I pray that all people may see that all religions see different facets and have many names for the C eator. Know that we are all loved, for we are children of the earth, the heavens and all of creation. We are each blessed with the gift of life. DO NOT WASTE THIS LIFE!

I just want to say how sorry i am to all the parents and students. I dont know what would make these two kids want to kill but i do know its nobody's fault. Not the parents, teachers, singers, movies, video games, nothing. I just think it was their decision a d you can't stop them. But God has forgiveness and forgives them. I just wanted to tell people to stop blaming teens. I'm 13 and I'm not going to tell you I know how you feel because I don't. I just want to say I'm sorry and wish that we could just stop t e violence and follow God's path and end the shooting. At the high school i'm going to next year, some of the teachers ran into the classrooms with water pistols and started yelling Bang Bang! They wanted to ease the students tension. These kind of things need to stop! Because if we don't, I think that when we have kids we will bring them into a world of chaos. I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I wish I could do something to help. Natalie from Ocala,Fl 13 yrs. old

I really appreciate you setting up this site. It is simple and moving. I work with teenagers here in Georgia. In a church youth group. Since this happened, I have wondered about it happening here. How would I have reacted? I don't know. There's no way I can truly understand the hurt and grief you are feeling right now. My prayers have been with everyone at Columbine. Students, teachers, parents, everyone. As I looked at the 13 faces staring back at me from this site, a poem came to my heart. I know it was from God. I'd like to share it: Why did I have to die? What did I do? I only went to school. Still so very young. My life's song still unsung. So close to summer's fun. Why did I have to die? My dreams now fall to waste. Grief on my parents' face. My life cut short by fate. By two with evil and hate. Why did I have to die? Eric And Dylan, I ask. What motivated you're hateful task? Did I hurt you in some way. To bring about this horrible day. Why did I have to die? If I could I'd like to say Mom and Dad, I'll miss you. And I love you in every way. Being 2000 miles away, I have felt so helpless. But prayer is an incredible thing, and that I CAN do. So I continue to pray for you. God bless ALL of you. Bill McCullough P.S., I'm also leaving my e-mail address. It is going to take time for the wounds to heal and I hope that the memories will help them overcome this sense of loss. My thoughts and prayers are with them all. This is a very sad time for all of us. I am sometimes even afraid to go to school for fear of something like what happened in Littleton to happen somewhere near me. In a week there has been almost a dozen hit lists or trench coats in the state of Tennesse . COPYCATS! Is all that I can think of. YOU ARE A VICTIM! Is the next thought in my mind after that. I've heard many times that a week before the shoting you coould have asked any teacher and they would have said it was a very safe school. That just prove that it CAN happen happen anywhere. I have a feeling it won't be the last. Take precaution even if its not for certain. Please help yourself and other people.

I am distgusted with what these children have done. People are asking WHY? and there is one siimple answer, because they CAN. When things like this happen PUNISH the kids, send them to jail with real killers and rapists. Anyone can be tough with a gun! Th n they turn around and kill themselves. They were scared. If you don't punish the kids HOW WILL THEY LEARN? They need to be raised by there parents, someone who loves them, not a daycare! They need to learn to be responsible! pay attention to your kids! A k them, How was your day? COMMUNICATE! I think we will see a LOT less kilings, if you show your kids you love them. My mom has six kids, and she is a stay at home mom, we all get good grades, know how to stand up for ourselves without using violince, and we respect others. Show your kids you l ve them, because you never know what they could do, or what could happen. And, by no means am I saying all parents who work have bad kids. My prayers are with you, Littleton.

To the families, friends, classmates, relatives et al of the slain I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy. Though far away, we too are grieving. May the Good Lord lift up your spirits. As the parent of an adopted child, a woman battling infertility striving to become pregnant, and as a child care provider….. children are the center of my life. My entire life revolves around children and my heart has sunk once again at the thought of America’s children killing each other at school. My chest hurts to think about it, I feel like I can’t get my breath. We need to teach our kids that there IS more to life than this. This world is NOT the end. They have to have some sort of belief that there will be repercussions in the afterlife for what we do in this life. We MUST teach them to value life, EVERYO E’S life! Their own lives and those of everyone around them. I don’t have answers, only questions. Wondering if we’re too late, hoping that we haven't already become such a violent culture that there is nothing we can do to save our children? I live about 65 miles from Springfield, OR where on May 21, 1998 the Thurston High School was touched by a heinous crime similar to Littleton. After the Thurston shooting there was a campaign started called "The Ribbon of Promise". I tied blue ribbons a l over town. I still have blue ribbons tied to my trees and fence posts all over my yard. The blue ribbons are a reminder to me daily, to remember to pray for our kids that this can be stopped. This is really a simple thing to do to honor those that have been killed in our schools and to remind everyone to STOP THE VIOLENCE! Please take a moment and tie a blue ribbon today. Please take time to say hello to a child and take time to LISTEN! Listen to what America’s kids are saying and pay attention to what they are doing. Thanks for listening and letting me say my peace. My heart is hurting and my prayers go out to everyone who has ever been touched by this violence. My thoughts, prayers and my heart are with the people of Littleton, CO. Tracie Harris

This senseless tragedy will live on in the hearts of all Americans for years to come. I hope that the families of the victims, students at Columbine High and all of Littleton can be comforted by the fact that so many people are grieving for their lost one . If our nation can survive this, our nation can survive anything. Every student and teacher at Columbine is a hero for enduring this in such a dignified way. I'm 16 years old and this will be one of those memories i will hold with me for a very, very lon time. Our generation should use this as a chance to join together and make a commitment to our country and our ourselves that we will forever hold this piece of history in our hearts and use it as a source of motivation for the future. I would just like to say that if people never want this terrible event to occur ever again then it's time for people to start being open minded about those who express themselves differntly. Those kids should have never have had such a horrible death for hat they may have and not said to scar the two killers lives, even though the killers shot the wrong people that they weren't planning on killing...but my point is if everyone excepts everyone for who they are then this world will not be in the future wha it is today.

When Somebody dies, a cloud turns into an angel, and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow. A bird gives the message back to the world, and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry. People disappear, but they never really go away. The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up grass, and spin the earth in dizzy circles. sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime, when they're suppose to be sleeping. They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug the tide. They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes. And when they sing windsongs, they whisper to us, don't miss me too much. The view is nice and I am doing just fine. With Deepest Sympathy, May the Lord, God above Bless you and help you during this time of deepest sorrow for all of Columbine High School Staff, Students, Friends and parents Love Jenine Evans

In times like these I look to God and pray for peace and support. I have been deeply affected by this inspeakable act. I pray for all of those who are in mourning for God to comfort you and I pray for the souls of the lost. I sometimes wonder how God c uld let such an act of violence happen, and how he could just sit there and not help us, but then I read a certain poen that I once was given, and it gives me a feeling of peace. For all of those who are feeling the loss may this poem help you as it did e. Footprints~ One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Scenes from his life flashed across the sky and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life had flashed before him, he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life there was only one set of footprints. Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious child. I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you saw only one set of footprints... That was when I carried you." May you all find peace in the arms of God. I will pray for you. God Bless. With Love and the Deepest Sympathy, Tiah Anderson and Family
