My 1996 Kawasaki ZX9R Ninja
My 1996 Kawasaki ZX9R is pretty much in stock condition engine. I am running Battle Axe 56 SS rubber front and back. They are working out great! Ferodo brake pads all the way around. UNI air filter. DID 530 Chain. Sunstar 16/46 Spockets. I have had the ZX9R and Ninja stickers removed and then Air brushed on. The front and rear lights have been replaced with Lockhart phillips Flush mounts. I have some Carbon Works carbon fiber parts on the gauges and triple tree. I Just started polishing Everything on my bike. I have the swing arm and frame done. Foot Peg brackets and guards. I just finished the rims (only the lip). Doing it all myself. I put the bike on a Factory Dyno in April at Laguna Seca and I got 112.5 HP, 10,500 rpm, 155 mph. They told me not change a thing, thats what i was hoping to hear. My ZX9R has 31,750 miles and running strong.
Took me about a week to get all the aluminum to look this shiny. I started with 220, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 grit Sand Paper. I finished with Mothers Polish. I had to do several applications of mothers to get a good shine on the center of the frame. The rest of the frame and swing arm only needed a few coats of mothers. I am trying to get a mirror finish. Going to buff it out more later. I am trying some new Stuff called "Green Stuff Polish" Its great and easy to apply, works better than mothers. New pictures to come soon.
