I need your support. I worked for the Hampton, Virginia fire department. I loved my job as you probably do. After 2 years I began to advance and became a medic. It was at this level that I observed a terrible secret. Several of my coworkers were purposely letting black people die on 911 calls. They did this by delaying and withholding care. I could not do this and complained right away. I became a target but for 6 more yea s documented hundreds of deaths. The first death I witnessed was a 1 year old boy. Finally someone is now listening, 20/20 news magazine. I was shocked as I assisted them with their investigation, we learned of a most recent victim of these cowards that c ll themselves professional firefighters. He was a 12 year old boy, his mothers cries and pleas for help have changed me once again. I am more determined now than ever to expose them. The problem I am having is 20/20 doesn't know how to tell the story as i is very difficult. Only us professionals understand the terms and the importance of quick responses to critically injured patients, and the type of responses ALS calls should receive.
