Lt (SCC) Gill Dyer RNR - MAIL

The CO is also an Area Drill Assessor and a First Aid and Instructional Technique Instructor.  Lt Dyer works as a college lecturer as her civilian employment,

 

fIRST LIEUTENANT

S/Lt (SCC) Garry Lea RNR

The 1stLt is an Advanced Seamanship Instructor and Pulling Instructor.  He joined the unit in 1998 after serving in the Merchant Navy as a Second Officer.

Civilian Ins' Dee Green

CI Green has joined the unit after serving in the Royal Navy as Marine Engineering Artificer.  She is a Safety Boat and Sailing Instructor and holds qualifications on offshore yachmaster

 PO (SCC) Ian Robbins - MAIL

The TO is a Range Conductor and a Drill Instructor.  He joined the unit at the age of 12 and has worked his way through the ranks.

 Sgt (SCC) George Orchard - MAIL

Sgt Orchard joined the unit from the Army Cadets.  But has compensated for that by being a Power Boat and Sailing Instructor and a Full Bore Range Conductor.  he is currently training to be a Pulling Instructor

Civilian Ins Ian Gray

Ian is an Officer in the Merchant Navy and instructs when he is not at sea.  He is a Safety Boat Instructor and joined the Sea Cadets from his unit in Winchester where he worked his way through the ranks.

  

We are looking for new instructors for both Sea Cadets and Marine Cadets, Male or Female. If you are aged between 18 and 25 and live in the Truro area contact us at the unit.

 Civilian Ins Tony Redworth

Tony has just joined the unit frmo the Marine Cadets, and is already bringing new recruits in.  He has to serve 9 months before he goes into uniform, but is already becoming a valued member of the team.  He has also promised a photo for us.

 Reverend Ian Frome

The 3rd Ian in the unit, he is also the Area Chaplain and instructs the Junior Section too.  We visit his church every rememberance day for the Sunday service.

 

 Elaine Tamblyn

Elaine is the longest serving member of the unit and does the admin excellently. She joined the unit over 15 years ago and has seen us in no less than 5 HQ's
