Indonesia
Bali, Lombok and Sumbawa
Jeff Ward, Jimmy Pollicastro and I headed over to Bali for a few days of surf at the famed breaks of the island. We caught 4-6' waves at Ulu Watu, Padang-Padang, and Sanur. After a few crazy nights in Kuta, we chartered a boat for seven days for surf on the neighboring islands of Lombock and Sumbawa. Along with five other Aussies, we headed over to Desert Point. The swell was macking at 8' on an outgoing tide. after almost being sucked out to sea, we headed around the island to Scar Reef. We caught head high to double over-head surf for a few days. On to Sumbawa for more good surf at Yoyo's.

This was one of the most magical surf trips I have experienced. Despite the bad reaction from my anti-malaria pills, this trip is one I'll never forget.
