There's
so many places to go, people to meet, sights to see, things to try. You
don't really have an excuse NOT to go abroad. Even if you're poor (and
I know that 95% of you that think you're poor are really not), you could
still find ways to get there. Hey.. I mean.. there are tons of scholarships
at all levels. You wouldn't believe how much support you'll get. I, for
one, managed to bring my program fees from nearly $6000 US, down to $400
US or so because of writing letters, trying hard, and being REALLY REALLY
persistent. SO, you never know. If you're motivated, you'll make it. In
other words: "Where there's a will, there's a way".
Studying abroad will make significant,
if not HUGE, changes in your perspectives. What those changes are, are
variable, because everyone's experiences abroad are different. Some people
might find that their experience runs very smoothly, with only a few conflicts.
Others find that they are running across challenges and conflicts every
day, but at the same time are learning how to deal with them and are using
those as lessons for life.
Your experience will be as unique and
special as you make it.
