Sistema de Comunicaciones will have two product offerrings: one directected toward the “high-end”, urban Residential fixed telephone and internet market.

· Characterisation of Sistema de Comunicaciones Business Service offering

Sistema de Comunicaciones will offer business telephone products supporting single-line, multiple-line, Centrex and ISDN services. The company will deploy these products using state-of-the-art ´carrier grade´ fixed wireless technology to provide wireline-equivalent speech transmission quality. The system will be maintained to ensure excellent dial-tone availability. The use of redundant signalling, transport, and switching system will ensure superior performance in terms of high call-completion rates and low dropped-call rates.

· Highly Reliable Data Services

The company will provide a full range of data services for the SME, LBU and government markets. Service will include managed Ethernet; high-rate packet-switched data at speeds beyond E1; Virtual private Networks (VPNs); and internet e-commerce services all under ´global service level´agreements.

· High Functionality

The Company will provide costumers with a full complement of enhanced telephone services, including calling line ID, call waiting, three-way calling, voice mail and three-digit emergency dialing.

· Wide Availability

Sistemas de comunicaciones will offer business telephone and high-speed internet and data services throughout its entire coverage footprint. The company will offer telephone services on a per-line basis and in fractional and multiple El Format. Business enterprises outside Guatemala City will have the opportunity to utilise internet and data services previosly unavailable to them.

· Value Pricing}

Sistemas de Comunicaciones product portfolio consist of local, long-distance, internet and enterprise service. The company believes customers prefer some level of bundling and is well positioned to capitalise on this opportunity. In addition to providing one-stop shopping to subscribers, bunding reduces subscriber churn.

In its Internet access packages for businesses Sistemas de información will also offer a menu of free web hosting and email server services. In addition, the company will provide most of its Business telephone customers with CPE terminal systems equipped to offer high-speed Internet and data services. To encourage the adoption of these services, the company will offer bundled voice and data packages in its portafolio and guarantee quick service turn-up.

· Minimised Initial Costs for Business Customers

Sistemas de información will minimise initial costs for customers by retaining ownership of the business telephone subscriber CPE terminals and providing a subsidy on the cost of installation of such equipment. The company will recover these costs through the recurring revenues from the services purchased.

The company´s residential telephone customers will enjoy the same service quality and menu of basic value-added telephony features as its business subscribers.

· Value Pricing

Sistemas de información will enter the market with the highest quality of residential telephone service offerings in the country while maintaining very competive rates. To encourange initial subscription to the service, Sistemas de Información will subsidise residential telephone subscriber terminal sales while offering free initial installation and connection.

· Additional Services

As demand grows, Sistemas de Información will be prepared to meet the need for encreased rate Internet access by offering ‘cable-modem like’ full-period, Internet access through its standard residenteal WLL subscriber terminal.
