Australian built single cylinder two stroke marine engine, Bore 2 7/8" Stroke 2 5/8", WICO type A magneto,ALPHA model D carburetor (#3900).Packs an amazing 3 hp. into a tiny 50 kg. parcel of cast iron. Starts by hooking a leather belt on flywheel peg, wrapping at least three quarters of a turn, and then giving the belt an almighty pull.
Has all the boat drive options you could ask for by simply engaging the cone clutch, by means of a large lever (motor at low revolutions), i.e. go and whoa. Any slight misalignment while engaging clutch at high revolutions will cause propellor shaft to start turning, with connected propellor, driving same forward at great speed, and try to push the motor from its mountings.
