Global Warming Skepticism:

What The Other Side Thinks

There are two sides to any argument, and global warming is no exception. There are climatologists and environmentalists out there who believe global warming is just a blip in the earth's temperature change. Read on to find out what skeptic's arguments are all about.

Less than twenty years ago the majority of climatologists thought that a new ice age was eminent, so who is to say that the earth's temperature might not do a 180 a year from now? The earth's temperature has mood swings like a child wants candy. And although atmospheric temperatures continue to change, ocean temperatures show no change. In Florida, a large majority of the state was able to grow oranges, but due to a temperature change in the area some places have become too cold for crops to grow in. Although the mean temperature of the earth is rising, the temperature in some places is cooling. A mean is just the middle, it doesn't take everything into account. History also shows that the earth’s carbon dioxide levels change, and not always due to industry. One million years ago there three thousand to five thousand ppb carbon dioxide molecules in the atmosphere, obviously not due to automobile or factory emissions. Also, plants love carbon dioxide. Under controlled conditions the doubling of Carbon dioxide content results in a thirty percent increase in growth. Results also show stronger, larger leaves and better resistance to drought and disease. The larger plants grow the more Carbon dioxide they eat up, keeping it out of the air and from trapping heat in.

So now you have the facts from both sides. Decide for yourself which is the truth and act accordingly, but my mother always told me:
PREPARE FOR THE WORST
HOPE FOR THE BEST
