Thus we come to the point where I explain my original intention for this page, my name. The name I use on here, Scyla, was not taken from mythology as so many people ask me. It was in fact a name that I just happened to have stummbled upon one day while walking through a little shop in downtown Charleston,S.C.. It was while browsing through this little nature shop, whose name I have since forgotten, that I first met Scylla. The shop had these adoption kits, ranging from tigers to lions and bears(oh my!), but myself, being a sea lover, chose to spend my hard earned $19.95 (+ tax) on a Humpback Whale. So, here is my plea to you. Now that I'm totally infatuated with these beautiful creatures, (in my most earnest Sally Struthers' voice)I'm asking you to take a look for yourself and see that these mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers are worth saving.
