Hi, My name is Godfrey Mwiinga

Here is a brief of my personal background

I am a male Zambian, born on Sepetember 8 1970, in Zambia Central Africa. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers. However, one of my sisters, the first born, passed away in 1993. I did my primary and secondary education in Kitwe(1977 to 1988),in the Copperbelt province of Zambia. I qualified for university and was enrolled at the university of Zambia(UNZA) in 1989. I could have completed my first degree in Civil Engineering in 1994, but due to the famous UNZA closures I graduated in 1995. Upon graduation, I worked for 8 months with Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company, which runs the water and sanitation facilitties in Lusaka, the capital City of Zambia. Due to my academic excellence while at UNZA, I was offered a postgraduate schoalrship to study in the Netherlands/Zambia for my Masters in Environmental. The nature of the scholarship was to undertake the course in Holland and complete the programme with a research component in Zambia. Upon completion of my course work, I was awarded a postgraduate diploma in Sanitary Engineering with a specialisation in Drinking Water Supply. The research project I undertook Back in Zambia was based on Pilot plant encompassing roughing filtration and slow sand filtration. I did design, construct, operate, maintain and monitor the PILOT PLANT myself. I have completed the research and have been awarded a Degree of Master in Engineering(Environmental by the university of Zambia. Have a look at the ABSTRACT of of my Dissertaion. I am now a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, at The University of Zambia.
