Associazione Tintura Naturale M.E.SalicE

The Natural Dye Association Maria Elda Salice is a documentation, research, consulting and teaching centre.

Founded in Milan in 1986 with the purpose of continuing the experience of the Master Dyer to whom it is dedicated, the Association is non profit, based on its members contribution, and develops its activity in the field of research, experimentation and diffusion of vegetal dye techniques, and the recovery and maintenance of the Italian cultural heritage.

Its owns a wide and interesting collection of italian and foreign books, experimental samples of dyeing on a number of textile fibres with the most interesting local and exotic dye plants.

The Association produces collections of samples on private and business request, organizes lectures, training courses, specific researches locally and outside the Centre.

It cooperates with individuals, private and public bodies, museums and schools.
